You can customise this print in three ways (all optional):

• You can include a short message with one character on each record spine. Your message appears along the bottom of the print, below the year (it's great for short messages like 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY!' or 'I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE 21!').
• You can include a longer message, where each word appears on a different spine at the top of the print.
• If there are any records from 21 years ago that you particularly want to appear on the print, we can change our standard selection to include it.

(2) 21st Birthday Facts Print

This elegant print is absolutely stuffed full of facts and trivia from 21 years ago. It's a real hotch potch of information: famous births, sport, TV, movies, music, money, historical events. 

The print places the recipient centre stage: their name and date of birth appear in the middle of the design. The print is a small slice of their own personal history - it's the world as it was when they were born.

(3) Top Ten Records From 21 Years Ago: Music On The Day You Were Born

What was top of the charts on the day you were born? Now there's question. And this print answers that question! We find out the top ten singles from the UK charts on a date 21 years ago and and show them on a custom music print. 

We've designed prints for two different, popular retro music formats. There's the vinyl LP (currently undergoing a big resurgence) and the cassette tape (the format we all love to hate but which gave us the freedom to make our own mix tapes).

(4) Personalised 21st Birthday Abstract Art Year and Date Prints

We've used a very simple ideato create these prints: replace numbers with colours, then use the colours to make the print. Dates are often written using numbers so they're a perfect candidate for this unique kind of custom abstract art print.

A complete date like 4th March 1962 can be written as 04031962. If you give each number a colour and then print them in sequence, the artwork looks like the picture below. The colour of each number is shown in a series of little circles  at the bottom of the print. For a 21st birthday gift, you could personalise the print to show the recipient's date of birth or the date of their 21st birthday.

These prints appeal to anyone with an interest in science, maths or computing because they're familiar with the idea of presenting numerical information in a visual way.

In science, presenting data visually often makes things easier to understand.
