Twenty One is one of those big milestone birthdays. Personal gifts are always popular (both to give and to receive), so we've brought together some of the best 21st birthday personalised prints we have and put them all on one handy little page.
This record collection print shows records that were popular in the charts 21 years ago. The records on the print are half albums and half singles, which means you get a great mix of artists and a great idea of what music was popular twenty one years ago.
This version of the print shows music from the UK charts (we have another version that show music from the USA):
You can customise this print in three ways (all optional):
This print is an ideal for anyone who loves music. It's a unique, rather nostalgic, print that starts conversations and evokes memories.
Here's a detailed look at some of the spines:
This elegant print is absolutely stuffed full of facts and trivia from 21 years ago. It's a real hotch potch of information: famous births, sport, TV, movies, music, money, historical events.
The print places the recipient centre stage: their name and date of birth appear in the middle of the design. The print is a small slice of their own personal history - it's the world as it was when they were born.
This print is based on UK events (for example, the sporting events are those that are well-known and popular in the UK). The prints come in a range of colours.
Here's a close-up in a different colour:
What was top of the charts on the day you were born? Now there's question. And this print answers that question! We find out the top ten singles from the UK charts on a date 21 years ago and and show them on a custom music print.
We've designed prints for two different, popular retro music formats. There's the vinyl LP (currently undergoing a big resurgence) and the cassette tape (the format we all love to hate but which gave us the freedom to make our own mix tapes).
Both these prints come in several colours and they can be personalised - click on the pictures below to see the different options.
The LP print shows the top ten songs on a record label:
The cassette tape print shows the top ten songs on a cassette label:
We've used a very simple ideato create these prints: replace numbers with colours, then use the colours to make the print. Dates are often written using numbers so they're a perfect candidate for this unique kind of custom abstract art print.
A complete date like 4th March 1962 can be written as 04031962. If you give each number a colour and then print them in sequence, the artwork looks like the picture below. The colour of each number is shown in a series of little circles at the bottom of the print. For a 21st birthday gift, you could personalise the print to show the recipient's date of birth or the date of their 21st birthday.
These prints appeal to anyone with an interest in science, maths or computing because they're familiar with the idea of presenting numerical information in a visual way.
In science, presenting data visually often makes things easier to understand. In these custom artworks, the visual presentation is more about fun! It's fun to watch someone look at one of these prints and try to work out what it means (it's not hard to 'crack the code' but even so, it's very satisfying when you do!).
The custom abstract artworks for years are more minimalist and bolder, because there are only four digits in a year:
These abstract geometric artworks are available in a range of colour schemes. Click on the pictures above to see the full range of colours.
This music print is crammed with music facts and trivia from 21 years ago. There are lists of the top selling albums and singles (from the UK charts), information on music awards and live music, births of famous musicians, and loads of other music events from 21 years ago.
You personalise this print with the name and birth date of the gift recipient. We use their birth date to add another nice little personal detail: the number one single and album on the day they were born. The whole print is a lovely piece of personal music history and a brilliantly nostalgic conversation piece. The print is available in several colour schemes.
